Jasmine Smith, Event Producer and Entrepreneur

Jasmine Smith is an event producer and wedding expert with a knack for strategic planning and event production.

Fueled by her ability to think strategically, collaborate, and plan seamlessly, Jasmine pulls an event, and everyone involved together successfully. She credits these skills to years working as a consultant for a few of the world’s
leading consulting firms, including Porter Novelli, Accenture, and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Jasmine began her career as a volunteer and freelancer working on brand activations, public relations campaigns, fundraising galas, and large-scale events. Clients included Gillette, Black Enterprise, Consumer Electronics
Association, National Urban League, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, and other nationally recognized brands.

In 2018, Jasmine founded and created D.C. Wedding Week, events and experiences for wedding creatives that activate diverse ideas, empower people, and spark opportunities. Year one included six events in five days at six different venues across Washington, D.C. attracting 300+ wedding industry professionals and securing more than 40 local and national partnerships valued at more than $28,000.

As Co-Founder of The Coordinated Collective, an award-winning day-of wedding coordination company, Jasmine developed the business model for a service specifically for couple’s planning their wedding. The service ensures couples consider the planning details that impact the experience for the wedding party, guests, and vendors without compromising the couple’s vision. The Coordinated Collective formerly known as Jasmine Smith & Co. has worked with over 200 couples, 100 vendors, and 50 venues in Washington, DC., Maryland, Virginia, and California.

Most recently, Jasmine launched her second company, Smith and Company, a boutique event production and brand experience firm. Jasmine continues to work full time as a consultant for the Food and Drug Administration, planning and coordinating congressionally mandated public outreach workshops and symposiums.

As a millennial on the move, Jasmine lends her entrepreneurial, planning, and wedding expertise through conference presentations, guest lectures, and workshops. She has offered business advice to the Junior League of Washington, the Bullish Conference, the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, Trinity University and General Assembly.

As a military child, Jasmine was raised all over the world and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from Georgetown University. In addition to running her businesses, side-projects and, working full-time, she is a mom to son Tre.
